Went to Manitoulin for a few days in mid-August – lots of rain but managed to enjoy great food with Mark and Judy and also a visit with Aunt Nola and cousin Lynn.
Squirrel was in the “Olacke’s” – southern Ontario – squirrel proof bird feeder. The field of canola was leaving Providence Bay.
Saw this unusual Cardinal – discovered it has molted – and its skin is black – so appears to be a black headed Cardinal . Here it is feeding its young.

Northern waterthrush – new bird for me – seen at Riverside Park – other pics had more yellow on belly.
Egret – seen at Silvercreek Park – I had never seen one in the Guelph area before – neat !
