Finally we are getting some good weather. Walked along the Speed River, here in Guelph, on Saturday. Water still a bit high but the dam was wide open.
Common merganser pair:
Redwind blackbirds were squaking away, the male cardinals were out in their red coats and the robins were finally hoping to get some juicy worms.
The Canada Geese were in mating form – chasing, displaying and just hanging out together.
The male mallards have arrived but no females were in sight – the light was just right when I took this pic – love the green sheen showing so wonderfully.
Some spring flowers and a close-up of exploding buds on the trees:
Sunday the temperatures stayed in the low to mid teens but the rains arrived in the afternoon and the dampest persisted all day Monday. Hopefully the last day of April will bring back sunshine.
What, you are a bird enthusiast…how can I tell! lol Great pics.
Awesome pictures!! I love the flowers and the geese! Super cool!
