Another glorious night with lots of animal and bird entertainment. Breakfast being cooked for us, our last morning in Impala camp then a boat ride/ safari to the airport.
A last glimpse of Impala Camp
Waterbuck and a cape buffalo
Hippo send off
Plane waiting at the airport , off to Ruaha National Park. Six passengers this time on the flight to the park.
Giraffe crossing the runway as we do a washroom break before leaving with Leverd (guide) and Nolaska (our driver) There are 4 of us going to Kwihala Camp.
Airport buildings and park gate
I believe this is an indian roller
Zebras on sand river. This park is extremely dry – waiting for the November rains to arrive – makes it interesting to view animals at the sand river – there are some water pools and there is water deep down.
Kwihala Camp – tent (in and out)
Afternoon game drive at 4 – paired with English couple at this camp. Garnet decided to stay in camp – enjoyed a pipe and rest in front of the tent. Viewed impalas walking by and spotted many birds for me.
Marius is our guide and driver at this camp. Daudi is a trainee guide that came along with us.
WARNING THE NEXT PICTURES ARE OF A LION PRIDE EATING THEIR KILL FROM EARLIER IN THE DAY.
